1976-81 Bucket Seat Adjuster To Floor Cover

Reproduction of the finish trim cover for the bucket seat adjuster on 1976-1981 models. This injection molded plastic trim cover mounts to the end of the bucket seat adjuster to finish the area where the carpet meets the track. Secures the carpet while providing for a clean cosmetic appearance at the end of the seat adjuster track.

Two adjustor covers are required per bucket seat. Four covers are required per vehicle. Each cover attaches to the vehicle with the bolt that secures the bucket seat track to the floor. Seat track bolts are not included.

  1. Bucket Seats:

    • Bucket seats are individual seats with contoured designs that resemble the shape of a bucket. These seats provide a sportier and more personalized seating experience compared to bench seats.
    • In the context of the cover you mentioned, it likely refers to a protective or decorative cover associated with the seat adjustment mechanism that connects the bucket seat to the floor of the vehicle.
  2. Adjuster Mechanism:

    • The adjuster mechanism allows occupants to move the bucket seat forward or backward to find a comfortable driving position.
    • The cover you're referring to may be a part of this mechanism, possibly serving to protect or conceal the moving parts underneath.
  3. Model Years (1976-1981):

    • The specified model years indicate that this component is likely associated with vehicles produced during that time frame. It's important to ensure that any replacement parts or covers are compatible with the specific make and model of the vehicle.
  4. Replacement or Restoration:

    • Over time, interior components, including seat-related parts, can wear out or become damaged. In restoration projects or when performing maintenance, enthusiasts may seek replacement covers to maintain the original appearance and functionality of the seats.

The 1960s muscle car era was a time of great innovation and growth in the automotive industry. It was a period of intense competition between car manufacturers, as they sought to outdo one another with increasingly powerful and sophisticated vehicles.

During this time, muscle cars became increasingly popular, particularly among younger car enthusiasts. These cars were known for their large, powerful engines, aggressive styling, and high-performance capabilities. Some of the most iconic muscle cars of the era include the Chevrolet Chevelle SS, the Ford Mustang, and the Plymouth Road Runner.

The muscle car era was marked by a number of technological innovations that helped to push the limits of automotive performance. One of the most significant of these was the development of the V8 engine, which allowed for increased horsepower and torque. Other innovations included the use of lighter materials in car construction, the adoption of fuel injection systems, and the use of advanced transmission technologies.

The muscle car era was also marked by a strong sense of cultural significance. These cars were symbols of American muscle and power, and they were often featured in popular culture, such as movies and music. The muscle car era came to an end in the 1970s, as rising fuel prices and stricter emissions regulations led to a shift towards more fuel-efficient vehicles.

Despite the end of the muscle car era, these vehicles continue to hold a special place in the hearts of car enthusiasts around the world. They are celebrated as symbols of a bygone era of automotive innovation and power, and their legacy lives on in the modern high-performance vehicles of today.
